Hard Candy - Madonna

'Hard Candy' is Madonna’s eleventh, and final, studio album for Warner Bros.. and it has released in 28 April 2008 in most of the countries included Malaysia where I got my copy on that day as well.. I have been waited for 2.5 years since her previous album 'Confessions on a Dance Floor' which is still one of my favorite album where I am still listening to it now.. a head-spinningly good dance music and I still love 'Jump' and 'Sorry' very much now.. I bet it is one of the best Madonna's album ever..

Talking about 'Hard Candy', after playing the album again and again.. most of the tracks are not really impressive, the music are more into hip-hop beat.. and some of the tracks can get bored quite fast.. I have to say it is only an OK album for me so far.. can't beat the brillion 'Confessions......'

My favorite track in the album is still the first single '4 Minutes' featuring Justin Timberlake and Timbaland.. the beat and tempo of this track is billion.. a super great debut job done by them to produce such a great track.. too bad this track doesn't reach No.1 in Billboard Hot 100 chart, it's only at No.3, what a waste that such a great song can't make it to the top..

'Give It 2 Me' is my second favorite track.. the pop tempo is cool and the way Madonna deliver the song is so fun and really in the pop mood when listening this track.. a great song to play when you are boring.. 'Candy Shop' is great too.. I really like it when Madonna sing 'My sugar is raw...' its kind of sexy and seductive.. haha..!! other outstanding tracks are 'Voices' and 'Dance 2night'..

The tracks that I found boring are 'She's Not Me', 'Heartbeat' and 'Incredible'.. the more I listen to these tracks the more I feel boring and sleepy... I will skip these 3 tracks now, seriously..

Overall, it is not a so sweet album as the title 'Hard Candy', a bit of bittersweet because of some boring middle tempo tracks.. one thing to mention is, Madonna still looks hot and sexy with her age in the cover.. I bet the reason is she did the anti-aging yoga to maintain the young look and nice body (look at her nice bicep.. wow!!)

E=MC² by Mariah Carey

After 3 years from 'The Emancipation Of Mimi', Mariah Carey is back with her 11th studio album of her career 'E=MC²'.. 'The Emancipation Of Mimi', Mariah's worldwide 10 million selling no.1 album, which generated three Grammy awards (including Best Contemporary R&B Album), 2 no.1 singles and countless more industry honors during its 18-month stay on the charts.. So Mariah is back to top again after the great achievements of the album..

I bet most of us heard the first single from E=MC² is "Touch My Body", this song is getting very popular in US and it has become no.1 in US billboard 100 chart even before the album released, and it got a lot of air play in our local radio station as well.. u guys know why she chosen this song as her first single from the album..?? any idea?? actually we are guessing maybe bcuz she has slim down quite a lot now and that's why she want us to touch her sexy body.. wakaka!! anyway it is juz our guessing..

Talking about the album 'E=MC²'.. so far most of the reviews are either above average or good (which is a good news for her..) and only those people who dislike her will rate this album as bad.. for my own view, I enjoy this album more then 'The Emancipation Of Mimi'.. there are 14 tracks in the album... mmmm... let's start with the tracks that I dislike most.. 'Thanks 4Nothin'','Love Story' and 'Last Kiss'.. I found all these 3 tracks are damn bored, the rhythm of the songs are boring and she keeps on repeating the chorus again and again.. and make me getting boring and boring..

The tracks which are OK for me are 'O.O.C','I'll be lovin' u long time','For The Record' and 'Touch My Body'.. quite enjoy listening to these few tracks but not something that really can impress me much..

Now the tracks that I like most are.. Jeng!! Jeng!! (in sequence..)

1.Cruise Control - this is first time she sing a reggae-influenced track, I really like the way she sing.. its really reggae..!! this song gave me a picture of we are driving in Jamaica on the summer holiday..!! definitely my no.1 favorite track in this album..!!

2.I'm That Chick - very the 80's disco+pop song and of coz my era of song too.. haha!! I will sing the chorus along every time I am listening it.. I really hope she will make more tracks like this..

3.I Stay In Love - a lovely ballad, the lyric and rhythm of this song is so nice and with her voice.. everything is so smooth and so perfect..

4.Migrate - the beginning part is the highlight of the song.. I like the lyric of the song, it juz sounds like we have lot of fun to do and migrate from one place to another ("From my car into the club we migrate/From the bar to V.I.P. we migrate").. The rap done by T-pain is cool..

5.Side Effects - this song is about her unhappy marriage life with her ex-husband.. from the lyric you can feel the unhappiness of her during that time..

6.Bye Bye - the second single from the album.. again.. the lyric is so touch and it will make us to miss those love one who had passed..

7.I Wish You Well - the very old style Mariah's song.. her voice still sound so great in this song..

Overall, Mariah has done a great job in this album.. to me, the highlight of the album is the lyric of the songs, especially in 'Bye Bye' which may make u cry for remembering someone u loved and had passed.. a great first try for singing reggae track 'Cruise Control' which really is a big surprise to me, and also the great 80's pop+disco track 'I'm That Chick' is another surprised..!!

One thing to mention is the cover of the album.. honestly I don't really like it.. why can't she put on some proper cloths instead of doing something like this (sorry to say that, to me she looks like a porn star more then a diva.. especially the photo at the back on the track list..) another funny fact is, she seems like she can sing better after she slim down.. wakaka..!!

Good news to share.. the 'E=MC²' hit as No.1 with sales of 463,000 copies on the first week in US Billboard Album chart.. congratulation Mariah Carey..!!

Mariah Carey, her 18th No.1 single 'Touch My Body'..

Mariah Carey's latest single 'Touch My Body' has become No.1 in Billboard Hot 100 chart in US.. and it also Mariah's 18th No.1 single in the chart, and.... with this achievement pushing her to second place among artists with the most No.1 singles in the chart together with Elvis Presley and on the first place is the Beatles who had 20th No.1 singles..!! I don't think it is a difficult task for Mariah to climb to the first place with additional two more No.1 singles with her current popularity.. wish her good luck!!

'Touch My Body' is her first single from her upcoming album 'E=MC²' which will be released on April 15, 2008 worldwide.. honestly the song not really impressed me much bcuz I still like Mariah sing something like her great old songs 'Hero', 'Without You', 'Butterfly' and so on.. most of her current songs are more in hip-hop and which can't really hear and feel her great voice.. Hopefully in her new album will have some touching songs which I can play it over and over again at night.. She seems like lost quite a lot of weights lately, you can see in the 'Touch My Body' MV, her body is in a much nicer shape now, and Wow!!! of coz she is much more sexy now..!! good to see her back to shape again.. finally.. haha!!

When the first time I heard the song 'Bleeding Love'.. OMG!! I was so impressed by the powerful voice of the singer - Leona Lewis.. her voice is simply amazing.. Compared to other powerful voice female singers like Celine Dion (I always feel so pressure to hear her voice and never can enjoy her songs..), Mariah Carey (her voice is great but most of her new songs are into hip-hop style, and can't find something so touch like 'Hero' or 'My All'..), Whitney Houston (she used to have a great voice but didn't hear from her anymore due to the drag cases..) and Christina Aguilera (I love her voice so much especially in her latest song 'Hurt', amazing..!! still love her..)

Leona Lewis is an English songwriter and singer, and she is the winner of the X Factor (a British television talent show).. you guys can go you tube to watch some videos of her during the competition, and no doubt she is the winner with all her great performances.. Her debut album 'Spirit' was released in UK in November 2007 and it became the fastest-selling debut album ever in both the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.. her single 'Bleeding Love' was released in US in March 2008 and it has became No.1 in US Billboard Hot 100 chart, and she is the second UK female singer who make it No.1 in US Billboard Hot 100 chart..

I am not so sure whether can I get her album 'Spirit' here, but definitely will try to get a copy bcuz it is really worth to have it in my CD collections.. 北纬66度 - 许茹芸

Finally i got this album.. Ben bought it as a Christmas/New Year present.. thanks dude!

The cover of the album really have the winter feeling.. she lying on snow (fake snow) and those pictures inside the album are taken in Finland, so whole album really winter and cold.. haha!!

Although i have downloaded the songs before i got the album but the feeling of listening in my laptop and cd player are different, of coz her voice and the songs are much nicer in cd player.. i really like the way she sing, it is unique and you can feel that she sing from deep inside her heart and not showing off her high node by just screaming..

My favorite track in this album is '我绝对不说我爱你', a simple beautiful love song.. i like the arrangement of the song and her voice is so soft and touching.. i have addicted to this song and i can keep on repeating it.. haha!! my second favorite is '爱情·进站', i like the way she sing this song, it has the feeling like she can't survive without love and begging for love.. sad ha!! '乐天市场' is a cute song, the arrangement is so nice and she really show her talent of singing in this song.. '北纬六十六度' is a slow and sad.. and touching.. a duet song '男人女人' sure will be a popular karaok song..

Anyway it is a beautiful album and i recommended it to you guys if you are looking for some high quality love songs, try this..

It's been a while since her previous album 'body language'.. finally she is back with her latest album 'X'!! She has gone through a lot during her absent, more are into fighting her cancer.. we are so glad that she won and manage to control the condition of her cancer now and really hope she will be fine and healthy.. GO KYLIE!!!

juz got her latest album few days ago... as usual this is a pop and dance album.. 13 songs in the album and begin with a dance track '2 hearts', i like the way she sings the chorus '2 hearts are beating together, i'm in love with youuuu.....' which is really cool..

so far, my favorite tracks in this album are (by order) :-
1. no more rain (the beginning part are really cool, the way she sings like rain dropping)
2. like a drug (the music is damn nice)
3. 2 hearts (the way she sings the chorus are nice)
4. in my arms (very disco feel)
5. all i see (a bit R&B, relaxing song)
6.sensitized (a bit of rock feel)
7.nu-di-ty (cute song and fun)
8.heart beat rock (the music is heart beating)

beside the songs, all the photos in the album are great.. all with fantastic makeup, and emphasize on her eyes and fingers..

she has released her personal documentary 'white diamond' with 2 DVD with her full 'Showgirl homecoming' show, which i really hope i can get one here.. beside that she will start her kylie x2008 worldwide concerts soon, i don't think malaysia is one of the stop due to the local government's rules and regulations of dress code (fed up with them....) if she perfomr in singapore, i really hope that i can make it this time..
