old and famous *chicken chop*

this is my 3rd time to visit the old (it has been started since 1930s) and famous (it is in newspaper and tv programs before) coffee shop in Dang Wangi area for my lunch.. what is so famous there?? 1.chicken chop, 2.roti babi, 3.butter cake and 4.kaya roll....

i have tried the famous chicken chop and it is delicious, althoght the size of the chicken chop is too small for me (i bet it is too small for all the guys.. unless u r small eater or on diet), the chicken shop serve with onion, potato chips, carrots and green beans, and what the best is the sauce... i bet they really have their secret recipe to prepare the sauce, no joke!! i will finish all the sauce but of coz i didn't lick the plate... haha!!

roti babi is quite unique, it is bread cover with a thin layer of egg and inside the bread is pork, ca siu and onion... frankly, it doesn't taste so good as i expected, but it still worth to try... beside that, friend recommended to try the balacan fried rice, i did tried that day, and it is yummy yummy if u like the balacan taste...

butter cake is nice but not the kaya roll... i like kaya, but i just found that the roll is not so smooth that i have tried in other stall before.. so i will recommend the butter cake...

if u r going for lunch, make sure that u spare extra 15 mins to wait for your seats because it is so pack during lunch hour and everybody is queue in front of the coffee shop to wait for their seats, no worries... just tell the boss how many person and he will arrange seats for your as soon as possible... if u r less than 4 than u may need to share table with others... the tables in the coffee shop are damn small, so it is quite irritating if u guys ordered too many dishes...

book to share 'Tuesdays with Morrie'

I bought this book because one of my friend highly recommended it to me.. frankly, I hardly buy an english book because I hate those book with complicated words and sentenses, sometime it can be very hard for me as a chinese ed fellow to read and understand the book... but she told me that the sentenses and words in this book is simple and easy to understand.. so I decided to go bookstore to find this book to read... it is quite a good start, and as what she said the sentenses and words are quite simple... after finished about 30 over pages over there and I decided to buy it because I really enjoy what I am reading and the story of the book is really touching..

I try to read this book almost everyday and I manage to finish it in about 3 weeks.. that day I was talking about this book with one of my friend and he told me that he spent 3 days to finish the book and he cried while reading it..

what inside this book - Tuesdays With Morrie began as a modest labor of love. Mitch Albom began visiting his old college professor Morrie Schwartz after seeing him on ABC’s “Nightline” talking about his fight against Lou Gehrig’s disease. One Tuesday visit turned into another, resulting in a “final class” between professor and student in what you learn about life once you truly prepare to die.

the author of this book is Mitch Albom http://www.albom.com/

I have bought another book from him lately - 'For one more day', just started the book and so far I am enjoying reading it almost everyday..

my watch is cracked... than.. broken

wednesday morning (17/10/07), 7am.. my morning alarm activated and usually I will take my watch which I put next to my pillow to read the time.. oppsss.... this morning I have accidentally dropped my watch on the floor.. OMG!! the glass is cracked but luckly it is still functioning... I feel damn unhappy because it is early in the morning and I have to rush to work... arghhhhh!!!!! but on the other hand, I feel slightly better when I known it is still functionaing...

the sad moment not yet come... when I read the time in my watch later, I noticed that it is stop... not moving.. OMG!! it is broken... since it is an automatic watch (without battery) and I am sure I have to pay a lot if I send it to repair.. sigh...

I have wear it everyday since I got it as my birthday present 3 years ago... and now.. I have to keep it inside a box and find a day to send it to shop and ask for repair.. just hope that it can be fixed and more importantly hope it won't cost me a lot... SAD :-(

the hottest donuts in town....

It's HOT! HOT!! HOT!!!

I am sure you've heard or you have tried 'the hottest donuts in town' now... I have read the article about this donuts in newspaper recently and heard some friends talking about it as well.. just happened my friend and I were in Pavilion last weekend so we decided to try the donuts since it was so hot now...

we found the donuts shop and as what we have expected>>a long queue in front the shop, I think there are about 40 people in the queue and waiting for their turn to grab the donuts... since the queue is long, so we decided to walk around and come back later and hope that the queue will be shorter.. we're back in 30 mins later.. OMG!! the queue is still long... or even longer than before..

so we join the queue.. we saw those folks really crazy for the donuts coz most of them bought a dozen or 2 dozens or more... OMG!! are those fellow crazy?? are they just gonna have donuts for dinner??

finally its our turn to grab the donuts after 20 mins queue, there are about 10 differences type of donuts and we have select a banana, a green tea, an almond, a tiramisu, a peanut and a mocca... those donuts look so yummy and colorful... we wish to grab more but I don't think we can finish all just by two of us...

now I understand why everybody buying so many because the donuts look really yummy and I am sure you won't just get 1 or 2 donuts after 20-30mins queue right?? we are human.... we think the same 'kiasu' way... haha!!

oppsss... before i forget... the donuts taste good and soft, and we finished the 6 donuts before we step out pavilion, haha... from what we ate, my favorite is the tiramisu which with cream inside the donut...

my favorite bun.. yummy

my favorite bun is 'mexican bun' which you can get it in a bread stall at sg.wang plaza ground floor nearby the popular bookstore corner.. a packet of 5 buns cost RM2.60 (it used to be RM2.50 but the price has increased recently).. what inside the bun..?? butter, cheese and sugar.. it taste good and I am sure you can finish 5 at one time..

beside 'mexican bun', my other favorite are 'tuna bread' and 'mayo chicken bread'... compared to other famous bakery, the price is much more reasonable here, why you have to pay extra if you can get some nice breads here.. go get one 'mexican bun' and try today.. sure YUMMY!! YUMMY!!

Lust, Caution - 色,戒

this movie seems like a hot topic among my friends, 80% who watched it said it is a masterpiece.. the scenery, the actress ( 湯唯) and the actor (梁朝偉, tony leung) are brilliant.. initially I am not really keen to go for this coz it is a censored version, I am not really interested to see tony's body but juz wanna see how the brilliant director Ang Lee arrange and handle the sex scenes...

after I have watched this movie.. what has impressed me most is the actress - 湯唯, she is brilliant, although this is her debut movie but she really done a super great job, I really like her eye expression, especially in the scenes when tony sent her home and she try to seduce him to go up to her apartment in order for the gang to kill him... wow!! her eye and the way she talks are brilliant!! I am glad that Ang Lee chosen her for this role and not offer it to some other actress...

need I said more about tony...he did a great job too.. I like the last scenes when he sit on the bed and thinking of 湯唯, tears in his eye really touch my heart...

I have to pay my salute to Ang Lee, he is a great director... every scenes in the movie is so fine and so details and so so beautiful... as a chinese, we should proud of him!!

while watching this movie, my mind keep on floating the scenes in another movie 'In the mood for love (花样年华)' coz of the mahjong, qi pao and also when the actress and actor sit inside the car.. do you have the same feeling??

if you are a movie lover, definitely you can't miss this one... a 'must see' movie and highly recommended to you all..

90 mins bodystep / dinner in Chilis

to double celebrate the 3 days long weekend raya break, the fitness centre has organised a 90mins bodystep class (usual one is 60mins) on 14/10/07 - sunday.. we all are so excited and can't wait to join the class but on the other hand, feel a bit worried about our stamina whether we can complete the 90mins class, coz bodystep is not something easy and lots of jumping and spinning here and there..

finally, we manage to complete the 90mis class... YEAH!! to celebrate our achievement, we decided to go chilis to have dinner... as you know.. chilis stuffs are quite fattening.. I am wondering.. is it another 90mins bodystep class can burn all the fat than I ate in chilis..?? or I need more than 90mins bodystep...?? any idea?? anyone....

*SICK* bkk trip

we are damn lucky and manage to get 2 ways free air tickets to bkk offered by airasia.. we've booked the tickets somewhere in begining of Feb and our travel time is somewhere mid of July, frankly.. the almost 6 months waiting period was damn 'suffered' coz everybody can't wait to go bkk for shop! eat! clubbing!.....

finally the day had come... 5d4n bkk - YAHOO!!!! we landed at bkk new airport around 5pm and it is heavy rain there, the traffic to silom (where we stay) was horrible.. it took us almost 2 hours to get there and we all are damn hungry while inside the cab... once we checked in the hotel and the very first thing is rush for some thai foods, we ate like hungry ghost and manage to finish all 'in the flash'...

the sky is still raining and next...we go to one of the famous disco in silom.. it is not so pack coz of monday but it getting more people after 11pm.. the music was cool, particularly i like Rihanna 'umbrella-ella-ella' and EBTG 'missing'.. I drink quite a lot and my head is getting heavier and I can feel my body is like burning.. I know I am not quite alright and asking my friend to send me back to hotel, coz it is rain so we can't get a cab and by no choice we have to walk in the rain go back to hotel, the journey only took us about 20 mins but with my weak body, it is definitely not easy to me..

once back into the room, I changed and head to bed.. I feel cold, damn cold... and zzzzz..

I woke up next morning and I am freezing... I know I am having fever.. since I am still very weak, my friend brough me to the nearest hospital.. once I was there, the nurse pull me a wheelchair and help me to fill up some forms and so on... they are friendly although we are having communication problem, but just like to see their smiling faces... doctor said I am having high fever (39C) and stomach upset, he also said that I must have enough rest and control my diet.. no oily, no spicy, no milk.... take bread and water.. OMG!! I am in bkk which is famous with all spicy stuffs.... arghhhhh..... another arghhhhh..... is when I paid my bill and it cost me RM150.... arghhhhhh.........

so I am a good boy for the next 3days... rest, taking bread and taking medicine in hotel... friends are enjoying themselve very much for shopping, eating and so on.... they even found out there is a nike warehouse sales in town and showed me all the nike stuffs they've bought.... arghhhhh.... it is bloody damn cheap... so I have to make sure I have good rest and go to the warehouse sales tomorrow before I leave bkk...

so the next day, I have recovered (not fully recovered yet coz still a bit of stomach upset).. after breakfast, we took the skytrain to the warehouse sales... we spent almost half of the day there and I am happy that I manage to grab something cheap on last mins... so 'kiasu'!!

anyway, it is a unforgetable bkk trip for me... so see you next year - bkk!!

getting very *drunk

attending my close buddy's sister wedding dinner on (07/10/07 - sunday) in one of the famous and luxury chinese restaurent in town.. as usual the dinner started around 8.30pm (I bet this is the common time for wedding dinner although the invitation card always stated at 7pm), frankly, it is a very bad habit of chinese for attending function or dinner..

talking about the dishes... generally the foods were quite nice especially the first dish 'lang pun' which is the combination of 5 different type of foods and another personal favorite is the 'sticky rice'..

in my table they are 8 gentlemen and 2 ladies (1 is pragnant).. everybody is getting so high and I bet we have finished 5-6 bottles of red wine.. myself >> who is a very lousy drinker also managed to finish at least 5-6 full glasses of red wine.. and guess what happened next?? I get drunk.. very super drunk.. my face, my neck and my body turn red and I can feel the heat on my face and neck.. my head is heavy and I can't even stand steal coz my head is spinning.. guess what happened next again???? my buddy has to send me home and once I reached home, took off my shoes and directly head to my lovely bed without brush my teeth and wash my face... haha!!

I woke up next day around 11am and thanks god my head is lighter... guess what again?? I feel damn hungry once I awake and quickly rush for foods after a nice shower...

anyway, this is the first time that I got very drunk... when I think back now - "hey.. isn't it a very good time for me to train my drinking skill.. I bet I am slightly better than lousy now.. HAHA!"

YUM SINGGGG....!!!!

my very first post..

(This is my all time favorite photo - 'those kids are smiling while looking at their photos taken by my fren's camera' - this photo taken by me in monkey temple, Bali, October 2004)

reading other's blogs has been part of my daily duty or routine now.. I'm sure a lot of people doing that everyday.. especially those folks who like to read..

in fact, I been thinking to create a forum and start to write my own blogs a while ago.. but.. but.. I just worried that i may not have the passion to continue it or update my blogs from time to time.. I know myself well, sometime I can be very lazy.. So.. I been put in 'on-hold' and keep it in 'pending' status in my mind..

recently, the blog writing pop up in my mind again... And I have decided to give myself a try to start to write and share something here.. anyway, here are some of my thoughts about what I wanna do in my upcoming blogs :-

#1. I am glad that there is no words limitation here.. I will try to make my blogs simple and short but.. nice, so at last it may be just a few lines but hopefully it will express what I wanna said and shared.

#2. I have a lot of things to share in my mind now, so I will write some 'back dated' stuffs which I think it will be interesting and fun to share here.. of coz I will try my best to recall the actual date.

#3. I have seen some of my friend's blogs which are quite 'comprehensive', they share what in their mind, what they've seen, what has happened to them or someone around them.. travel experiences, book, movie, song reviews and so on... I will try to make my blogs as comprehensive as I can too... try.. try.. try..

anyway, I will add on more if I have something new later about writing my blogs..
cheers for now :-)
